It is recommended that the toner cartridge be replaced. Printers aren't just for printing anymore. Open and close the stacker cover five or six times. There may be occasions when, after installing a new ink cartridge or toner in your printer, you may see a message such as: Your printer indicates 'toner is not compatible'. ' Check to see if there are any print jobs and clear them. Your new Brother printer probably came with a drum unit and toner cartridge. The windows driver may not have recognized it correctly.
If any toner low errors are displayed, press Go. The unit now does accept Ricoh ( 842201) black toner. Power off the printer and unplug its power cord from the wall. Remove the toner cartridge, shake it a few times, and then set it in the printer again. Reset the Print/Toner Cartridge counter after it is replaced.If toner scatters on your hands or clothes, wipe or wash it off with cold water at once. Inserted newly refilled black cartridge, with new crum.
